Our Wedding Proposal
for use of Craidelonna property
for Events / Weddings & Gatherings
Season 2012
Numerous events completed over the years have proven it to be a wonderful site for weddings & gathering of guest up to 70 maximum.
please consider this a estimate "quote for understanding"
of event pricing of the Craidelonna property.
ACCOMODATION RENTAL:
the rate for the entire property is $1100 per night
( 4 x $1100 = $4400 )
we hold the rate for the entire property for events or weddings at $1100 per night
( 3 x $1100 = $3300 )
This is based on up to 16 guests sleeping here at night on site... and the use of the lodge/oceanside cottage & woodsie hut for accomodations.
We do have numerous blow up beds and mattresses in storage
and are able to provide additional beds if needed depending on sleeping arrangements the cost per additional bed set-up/linens is $25 per bed.
Any guests beyond the 16 guests sleeping on site are $25 per person/per night.
CLEAN:
We list our clean fee separate, this keeps our daily accomodation rates lower
This service fee for the clean at completion of your stay... This is a vacation home, guests are requested to leave the spaces respectable.
GROUNDS:
For weddings and full property rentals, there is a grounds fee for property usage & infra-structure expansion.
As example a 20 guest wedding would have a $550 grounds fee / 50 guest wedding a $1375 grounds fee.
Note: grounds fee may be adjusted once final numbers are agreed on 45 days prior to event.
INSURANCE:
On our behalf an insurance lift is required to do events on site; we disperse this fee to all our weddings/functions.
Our insurance company requires that bride and groom purchase their own liqour liability insurance for their wedding. This may be purchased directly online at palcanada.com An estimate for this coverage is approximately $150 per 50 guests. *note: A liqour license is not required for a private home with less than 100 guests, where liquor is not sold.
TAXES:
We charge what is asked for at the time..It is 12% HST
SET-UP SERVICE & SERVERS:
Craidelonna provides the experienced professional setup personal and servers for your event. We have created a local team of people that take pride in their work and know this location very well.
Through repetition they know how to effectively and efficiently make events smooth & easy, and stress-free as they should be.
Drive time charges are not required since our staff is local.
We are able to assist in the many needs of a wedding, and to change hats as quickly as needed... from the setting up of tables and decorating place settings and table centers, to the heating & displaying of guest provided hors d'ourves, to flower displays or cake setup & decorating. We also serve & clean caterer provided meals, which has worked very well with local island caterers. Also breakfast service can be arranged with advanced notice.
An estimate of time is possible once details are established better to the style and type of service, and once individual requirements are known.
In example for better understanding.... it usually takes 3 staff about 10ish hours (noon - 10ish) + bit of clean the next day to setup/serve/clean for 40-50 guest meal. Most caterer will provide one server of their own to assist mainly with the bringing food and supplies down the hillside, and as a kitchen helpers/and to assist at the moment of food service.
Some wedding self service beverages while others request a formal bartender, this setup usually takes one hour, and then service time that it is open.
RENTALS:
Craidelonna has an inventory of event supplies available for your function.
-Banquet 6' & 8' tables @$7.50
-White wooden padded chairs @3.50 are available on site rental items on location list is available on request.
-Propane outdoor heater, includes 1 tank of fuel @$80
-White 10' x 10' wedding tents (three) @$75
* As of September 1st, (labour day) all 3 tents while be in place for the remainder of season at a discounted $150 charge to all fall events.
* Cutlery / plates & glass wares are rented & cleaned through an outside rental company for weddings.
Please request contact information when you need, or will be discussed at a planning meeting.
Often caterer will provide this rental service in their quotes.
Due to the numerous weddings we have on site each season we have an expansive list of contacts from Officiaries/ caterers / florists/ musicians/ rental companies.
BILLING PROCEDURES & CANCELLATION POLICY:

SECURITY DEPOSIT:
a security deposit of $1000 will be signed for at time of arrival... this will not be processed and is considered a no damage security deposit.
KEEP YOU & YOUR GUESTS SAFE
We strongly recommend guests to not drink and drive. There are neighbours next door on either side that often houses additional guests. Reservations in advance are very recommended.
